ADULT(ED) WITH MEGAN NICOLE
LAUNCHES EPISODE EIGHT: ORGANIZATION
Megan Nicole, in conjunction with Jeenyus Entertainment, has launched the eighth episode of her brand new YouTube show Adult(ed). This episode is all about how to get organized.
Megan and Ashley Stanfield of Creatively Neat pay a visit to the home of music executive Kimberly Nieva. At first look, Nieva’s home is deceptively put together, but as Megan and Ashley start to open closet doors they find where the mess lives. The team starts off by working through Nieva’s closets using Stanfield’s three basic steps to organizing - sort, purge and make a home for all the keeps.
Stanfield walks them through helpful principles of organization and where people often get stuck. Her philosophy is simple: when in doubt, throw it out. One big road block that almost everyone experiences while organizing is holding on to items that have sentimental value. Stanfield explains that although we receive gifts from the people that we love, those things don’t represent the love we have with that friend or family member. The love exists with or without the item.
Organizing is one thing, but the tricky part is staying organized. Stanfield rounds out the episode focusing on the importance of having intention with the things you own. For example, instead of coming into your home and throwing off your shoes and coat, take the time to hang the coat and put shoes in their proper place. She stresses the motto “file don’t pile.” See a few more of Megan’s key take-aways from this episode HERE.
ADULT(ED) EPISODE EIGHT : WATCH HERE
This past year, Megan’s life really catapulted from adolescence to adulthood with her getting married, buying her first home and becoming a pet parent. These rapid changes left her a little overwhelmed and wishing she had a sort of handbook which was the inspiration for the concept of Adult(ed).
In this 10-episode season, Megan, along with a guest tackle a new subject with the help of an expert on the topic. Fan feedback from the first seven episodes has been incredible thus far. From throwing a fancy dinner party and working out anywhere to figuring out taxes, Megan hopes viewers will learn something new and will leave each episode feeling confident about taking action to live a more positive adult life.
