The Friends of Nashville School of the Arts is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code so all contributions are tax-deductible. The Nashville School of the Arts is a public magnet high school committed to educating and nurturing the talents of Music City’s artistic youth. The school is anchored in the philosophy that the integration of arts and academics leads to a more engaging and meaningful educational experience for its students. NSA has nine conservatories, and all students audition for a specific conservatory pathway, including theater, dance, visual arts, literary arts, and a variety of music programs, including piano, guitar, orchestra, band, and vocal music. NSA graduates are equipped with a strong academic foundation for college, as well as a rich arts foundation for life.
Outside of the classroom students are given opportunities and encouraged to participate in the local arts community, through a variety of school sponsorship programs. Programs such as this include a songwriting and mentoring partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame, where the songs created by students through the program will be released in the Spring. The school's local partnerships offer incredible performance opportunities for students with legendary artists including an upcoming show at Franklin Theatre on 10/25 that will feature NSA guitar students on stage with the legendary songwriter Michael Martin Murphey. The school’s Cantabile choir ensemble will also be performing at the national ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) conference in February. They are one of only 26 choirs nationwide, and the only choir in Tennessee to be selected.
Those interested in participating but who are unable to attend donations can be made at https://givebutter.com/FNSAInvest or Text ”FNSA” to 53-555.
